Model Theory, 2022-2023 (WISM549)

In the spring of 2023, a course in model theory is organized.

We work from the booklet "A course in Model Theory" by Katrin Tent and Martin Ziegler. We plan to work through the chapters 3,4,5,6.

Organization of the course

We will meet once every two weeks, starting February 20, on Mondays 13--15 in room 409. There will be no lecture, but a discussion of difficulties with the text that we encountered. Participants can volunteer to demonstrate a pre-assigned exercise on the blackboard. This effort will be graded and this grade will count for 15% in the final grade (30% if you volunteer to demonstrate two exercises). In the end, there will be a written exam.
