Teaching Publication Projects Activities

I am an Associate Professor at the Intelligent Systems Group of Utrecht university. My research focus is agent theories and agent applications, in particular the topic of specification and implementation languages for cognitive agents. My previous research project was A Methodology for Agent-Oriented Software Design. From 01/01/1999 untill 01/08/2001 I worked on a project at the department of Artificial Intelligence at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. I have studied computer science and philosophy at University of Amsterdam, and obtained a Ph.D. in formal analysis of visual perception and information visualization in 1998. The title of my  Ph.D. thesis is "Languages of Perception" and it is published in the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation (ILLC) dissertation series.
