Workshop

Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS)

By Drs. B.W.M. Kuipers

Topics:

Mie scattering theory, Correlation, Inversion methods

Sessions:

1)    Introduction to the scattering theory (Rayleigh Gans Debye, Mie)*

2)    Initiating DLS measurement on Malvern (Zeta) Sizer Ultra

3)    Detailed knowledge of (adaptive) correlation ; Anisotropy*

4)    Analysis including Particle Size Distribution (PSD) using Inversion methods

Pre knowledge: Theory of dynamic light scattering

Sessions take about 1.5 hours each

New PhD students and new postdocs have priority

Time and Date by mutual arrangement

Registration by email: b.w.m.kuipers@uu.nl

(remark: It is not a general course but dedicated to the Malvern Zetasizer Ultra)

Students who did the master course Colloidal Analysis Techniques or have an equal knowledge level dealing with D.L.S. theory can skip session 1 , and session 2 and 4 can be contracted to one session upon request.
