Remembering T.A. Springer (1926-2011)

Tonny Albert Springer spent most of his  career as a mathematician at the University of Utrecht. Here is a brief biography (in Dutch) that appeared in Nieuw Archief voor Wiskunde. Here are some pictures of him. Below is the announcement of a special day that was organized in his memory.

As of 18:30 a buffet will take place in the Faculty Club of the University for 25 € p.p. and for which you may register by sending an email to, preferably by October 19. Although the day program can be attended without registration, it is helpful for the organization if you use this email address also to inform us that you are planning to come.
