Welcome!

My name is Aimée Slangen and I am a Postdoctoral researcher at CSIRO in Hobart, Australia. I did my PhD research in Utrecht at the Institute for Marine and Atmospheric research, with Roderik van de Wal and Bert Vermeersen as my supervisors.

My research focuses on understanding regional sea level variations. I take a broad interest by considering the influence of changes in land ice, ocean temperature changes and the response of the earth`s crust to these changes. Also changes of water storage on land are examined. With this method I try to gain a better understanding of past sea-level variations, as well as projecting future changes.
