Abstract: "In this dialectometric research a quantitative measure of syntactic distance is developed and applied to Dutch dialects. It will be shown that a quantitative perspective on syntactic variation provides new insights in the degree of geographic coherence in syntactic variation, using the perceptual Daan and Blok map of the Dutch dialects from a comparative perspective."
