From conclusion:
"In this paper, issues related to the use of acceptability judgements have been explored. [...] acceptability judgements do not provide a direct window into an individual's
competence. One way to diminish the mismatches playing in judging vernacular forms as
(un)acceptable, is to take into account several proper empirical methods. [...] The knowledge about a
specific speech repertoire is of extreme importance to minimize the risk that we information is
obtained about the prestige variety while the aim is to inquire speakers about their vernacular
forms. I have discussed the so-called intermediate speech repertoire in detail by means of a
regional standard 'intermediate' variety and the local dialects in the southern part of the province
of Limburg in the south of The Netherlands."
