Throughout my MSc and PhD projects, I have created the basis for the crowd simulation software of our research group. The software has evolved into a well-documented framework, suitable for students, game developers, or anyone who wants to simulate crowds efficiently within their own software.
The Explicit Corridor Map Framework is written in C++ and is platform-independent. We have created two demo projects: one that generates a navigation mesh and demonstrates its operations, and one that uses it for crowd simulation. We have also developed an API, which we have used to integrate our framework as a plugin into Unity3D.
